WIIA provides hands-on training with real aircraft such as the Boeing 737-200, Learjet-24, Zenith CH 2000, and Chetak Lama-III Helicopter, offering unique exposure to aviation students. It is the only institute in India with a Boeing 737-200 on campus. Additionally, we offer DGCA-approved Aircraft Maintenance Engineering courses and other aviation skill development programs, ensuring students receive the latest technological training and are well-prepared for the aviation industry

At WIIA, students receive practical training in fully equipped global-standard labs with the latest aircraft maintenance technologies and facilities. The curriculum combines theory with practical training, including field trips to key aviation sites such as Ahmedabad, Mehsana, Nagpur, Mumbai Airport, and Delhi Airport. 

These trips help students understand real-world maintenance procedures and working environments. 

The institute offers reliable transport services for safe travel, a well-stocked library, and a computer lab with internet access to aid learning. These facilities ensure students have all the resources they need to excel in their studies and prepare for careers in aviation maintenance.

AME Instructor – B2 (Avionics)

Location: Western India Institute of Aeronautics, Ahmedabad

Employment Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver theoretical and practical instruction in B2 (Avionics) modules as per syllabus.
  • Develop lesson plans, presentations, instructional materials, and assessments aligned with DGCA and CAR 147 standards.
  • Conduct and evaluate internal assessments and examinations.
  • Supervise and support students during practical training in hangars, labs, and workshops.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and regulatory compliance during all training activities.
  • Maintain accurate training records and monitor student progress regularly.
  • Assist in continuous improvement of the training program and participate in audits and inspections as required.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree or successful completion of a DGCA-approved AME course (Category B2).
  • DGCA CAR 66 B2 modules relevant to the instructional subjects must be cleared.
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience in a DGCA CAR 145 organization or equivalent civil aviation maintenance environment.
  • Prior experience as an instructor in a CAR 147 Basic organization is preferred

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge in avionics systems including electrical, instrument, radio/navigation, and communication systems.
  • Excellent theoretical and practical instructional skills.
  • Proficient in English (verbal and written).
  • Skilled in using training aids, simulators, and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Strong commitment to aviation safety, compliance, and professional ethics.
  • Ability to motivate and guide students for technical and professional growth.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

  • Passion for teaching and mentoring future Aircraft Maintenance Engineers.
  • Familiarity with DGCA audits, CAR-66 modules, and CAR-147 documentation processes.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills with a learner-centered approach.

Qualification: Candidates who have passed DGCA modules / equivalent papers in: 

  • Avionics (B2) – ES, IS, RN  
  • Aeroplane Turbine (B1.1) – HA & JE  
  • Helicopters Turbine (B1.3) – RA & JE  
  • Aeroplane Pistons (B1.2) – LA & CP  

A person with a B.Tech (Mechanical / Aeronautical / Electrical / Electronics) or an Air Force background with a B.Tech (Aeronautical / Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics) qualification is also acceptable. 

Experience: At least 1–2 years of teaching experience. Field experience is preferred.
